OKAY SO LIKE I was in the middle of taking a shower when suddenly the power in my flat cut and I was like ‘for fuck’s sake’ because this kind of shit happens every winter

I heard my neighbours talking and clattering about so apparently it was the whole building naturally the internet wasn’t working either

I decided to just take my laptop and sit in a coffee shop somewhere so I got dressed and stepped out of the house and

It was fucking chaos

See it wasn’t just my building it was the entire area

I live next to a six-lane intersection near the highway with pedestrian crossings and not a single traffic light was working but apparently people were just determined to get where they needed to be in rush hour

People were just running across the streets in groups and drivers were making 'fuck it’ opportunistic turns across other lanes

None of the streetlights were working either and night was slowly starting to fall

As I stood there reveling in the chaos a wind picked up and nearly knocked me of my feet because apparently a storm started brewing nearby
