[rotates to do the 69]

Technologically-challenged lush. Does have a name, but you can call me tonight.

This blog is run by a bird. It contains bad text posts, and sometimes hot mutant yaois.

man sometimes I see people stressin out about how life has set them back in various ways or maybe they personally haven’t been able to surge ahead as much as they want and they get really upset about how everyone else in the same age range is so much further ahead

and I feel compelled to say like

It’s okay!! To proceed at your own pace! And while yeah it’s buttfuckin balls that some people have to struggle more than others it’s not a real reflection on your worth as a person!!

And man I am not just saying that as an empty back-pat I mean it because one thing I’ve realised about doing a whole bunch of stuff young is…

Okay let me be dead honest and say that in a few years literally no one’s going to give a fuck lmfao, it’s always felt good to be doing stuff young but in 10 years chances are the later bloomers will catch up and you’ll just be on the same level as everyone else?? Cold hard truth imo, but it’s not really cold and hard considering you can make the most out of your youth and early opportunity while you can, it’s just that not attaining your dream or setting yourself on the right path by age 20 doesn’t mean you can’t ever end up in the same place in the end

Not to mention that proceeding at a slower pace than others isn’t even an accurate representation of abilities because there are so many confounding factors: some people have money some people have time some people have other responsibilities some people are always in tip-top mental shape some people had more accessible pathways

Trust me I know some people in law school or idk got their degrees at age 19 and in my humble and admittedly mean opinion they are fucking morons

I don’t even mean this lovingly plenty of the most brilliant people I know lag behind in a lot in their education or work life for various reasons and some of the most agonisingly stupid people I’ve ever met had one million qualifications by age 18

Of course sometimes the reverse is also true which just goes to show once again that it’s not an accurate reflection on your own abilities or worth

Naturally the above is just my opinion but: take pride in doing what you can and taking care of yourself and don’t compare yourself so harshly to others, friends!!
